Common questions
Answers for families beginning the search
What is an adult family home?
An adult family home (AFH) is a residential home licensed by Washington State to provide housing and personal care for up to a small number of adults. Cascade Country Care is a 6-bed adult family home in North Bend, WA — a real home, custom built in 2021, where residents receive 24-hour care from caregivers who live on site.
How is an adult family home different from assisted living?
Assisted living communities often house dozens or hundreds of residents. An adult family home serves no more than a handful — ours has just 6 beds — so the caregiver-to-resident ratio is far higher, meals are home-cooked, routines are personal, and your loved one is cared for by the same familiar people every day.
What areas do you serve?
We are located in North Bend, Washington, in the Snoqualmie Valley, just off I-90. Families come to us from across King County, including Snoqualmie, Fall City, Preston, Issaquah, Sammamish, Carnation, Bellevue, Redmond, and the greater Seattle Eastside.
What care do you provide?
We provide 24-hour personal care: help with bathing, dressing, mobility and the activities of daily living, medication management, three home-cooked meals a day, housekeeping, laundry, and genuine companionship. Caregivers and management live on site, so attentive care is available day and night.
How do I arrange a tour?
